Can we talk about how much of a non-character mcu Clint Barton is? First of all, J*remy R*nner isn’t attractive to me and in fact, he looks like the type to have a mancave. Dude has been looking over 40 since he was 25. Also, I can make a point for why Natasha was an avenger (I guess), but Clint Barton had absolutely no point to me. Like. You can shoot arrows. Cool.
And I mean honestly, with the exception of T*ny St*rk, the writing for all the damn mcu characters was just inconsistent. Honestly I feel like having 22+ movies exist in the same universe sounds good on paper but ultimately, a lot of planning has to go into it (which they dropped the ball on). I feel like the directors should at least have an agreement on who the characters are and who they should be by the end of the series? Like. Now, watching the first avengers movie in hindsight is so cringy
CLINT REALLY HAD NO POINT THE ENTIRE MCU…..he was such a bastardized version of his comic self that he was just a jeremy renner oc. and youre so right about the mcu characters being very inconsistently written, like i accept thor when he got into the hands of taika because taika wrote him well and fun loving as he should be. but steve? was so wildly different after civil war when you think about it. i mean liike one could say “chaarcter development” but deadass his whole morals and perspectives changed too?? and dont even get me started on bruce LMAO
